Leather Skirt

 top: Allsaints
skirt: Theory
shoes: Marni

I bought quite a few things from Theory last F/W because that collection was pretty amazing, the design was very simple and elegant, and most importantly work appropriate. I don't normally buy outfits for different functions, I prefer one items fits all purposes. Though it's impossible but I do try when I make a purchase.
I got this full price from Shopbop because it was the last item available. I am still happy about the fact that I got it because it's so versatile. I can wear it all seasons, I don't wear it when it's 90 degree out but lower 80s and below is fine for me. At the beginning, I thought it's too small for me since I wear size 4 for bottom but the leather actually stretched over the time I've worn it.

I found some leather skirts on Yoox...

Jucca summer dress from Yoox

dress: Jucca (yoox.com)
shoes: YSL

Since it's so unbearably hot....I decided to wear this light weight chiffon dress I got from Yoox a couple years ago, it was $71+tax. I really love shopping for clothes at Yoox because the quality is exceptional but the sizing can be tricky. This dress is size 42 about US6 and I still think I could get a size larger. For the brands that are not well known in the US I believe it's always save to get a larger size. I don't think they do vanity sizing at all.
Actually I just went to Yoox.com and they have the exact same dress for $98....size 8 was the only size left.

Dress for Hot Weather...

top: Mango
shorts: Asos
shoes: Jimmy Choo

I really love this silk top that I got in HK few years ago. At the time, there was no Mango store in the US. I still wear it after all those years. I think it is so perfect for this hot hot summer.

Topshop Dress

dress: Topshop
shoes: Christian Louboutin

It was so unbearable hot yesterday and I wore this for an interview. Though I brought a blazer along with me but I never attempt to wear it. I think it was record high yesterday in NYC.

Navy is the New Black!!

dress: Haniiy
shoes: Marni
purse: Chanel (vintage)

I got this dress on sale couple years ago. When I first saw this dress, it's the detail at the front that really caught my eyes and the shoulders patch are in chiffon but I didn't like the way the dress hung on me - so frumpy. It's a good deal so I thought a belt would do the trick...and it worked!!

Little Black Dress

dress: Asos.com (below $50)
shoes: YSL tribtoos

I thought the lower waist line of this dress is really cute. I am sick of the trend of short dresses without waist line. I do wish the slit at the arm wasn't there. The leopard shoes really spice up the little black dress. This dress is bit sheer so I actually had a slip underneath. I actually wore this entire outfit on a date.
The shoes are actually still available at Bluefly's website for $704, there's a gray version as well. But the sizes are only for size 9 and up for brown, and only size 5 and 6 for the gray pair. They run true to size to me and I have narrow feet. The toe box is quite roomy.

These are some dresses I thought were very cute and can be dressed up and down depends on the shoes.

$171.50, from Shopbop, brand: Vince
$375, from Shopbop, brand: DvF

$24.13 from Asos (the one i was wearing)

$250 from Shopbop, brand: Pelle Moda

$632, from Bluefly, brand: Jimmy Choo
$246, from Bluefly, brand: Stuart

Taking my Vintage out for an Afternoon Walk.....

top: yoox.com
pants: COH jegging
shoes: Christian Louboutin
purse: Chanel

This top was actually a dress but it's bit too short and too flare because of the material is bit too stiff. But I really like the material and the neck line of the dress so I brought it to a dry cleaner. The lady at the store used to work at Ralph Lauren wedding gown sewing department and personally I think she did a good job.

Vintage - quality & elegance!!

I bought this size small vintage Chanel from Chanel Touch a year ago. I was very happy with this purse because the lamb skin leather is just very durable and the color is just red, not too blue not too brown, just red.
Currently Chanel does not make small classic flap anymore so it makes this purse even more precious. She is my go to purse during the weekends...small and holds quite a lot.

Rag & Bone Cropped Pants

top: Christopher Fisher
pants: Rag and Bone (currently on sale $192 @ shopbop)
shoes: Marni

the bottom detail of the pants

I love wearing cropped pants in the summer, for some reason I just never like wearing pants when it's so hot out.
I bought this pair of pants full price at Barneys but I also saw them on Shopbop for 30% off but size 4-6 are sold out. I am wearing a size 4 just for reference.
I've had this cashmere top for so many years and I really it's such a great buy. I bought it in the Soho store (NYC) during their sample sale many years ago. Christopher Fisher is NYC based and specialized in cashmere so they are quite pricey. I think I got it for $40 or $80..sorry I can't remember.

Allsaints Silk Dress

dress: Allsaints ($250)
shoes: YSL tributes

details @ mid section

blow up detail of the side

I found out about Allsaints may be one or two years ago while I was looking for an inexpensive leather jacket. I was fascinated by their design and details. Though I love this dress but the material is bit fragile, I could see the pulls under the sun light after a couple of wears. The best thing about this dress besides of the detail is the waist line that elongate my legs so much.
I bought the UK size 10 instead of 8 because I just feel UK sizing runs a little smaller than the US clothings. I am a US 2~4 but I am not going to let   the vanity sizing determine what works the best for me.
there's is a Delia dress very similar to this dress but without all the mid section details on sale at Allsaints.com for $122.50. For people in NYC, there's a boutique in Bloomingdales and it would be a good idea to try the dress. Personally I prefer to shop online, it's free shipping.

Vera Wang Cropped Pants

top: Asos
pants: Vera Wang
belt: Zara
shoes: Christian Louboutin

detail of Asos top, size UK10
the details @ about knee area to create the bubble effect

I bought this pair of Vera Wang Cropped Pants on Gilt.com. It's about 40% off the original price and I really love this piece. The detailing is very gorgeous and the fabric drapes very well. It is a little bit delicate because if I am looking for something and tried to squat down I heard the seams breaking. And actually there's more ways to wear the pants if I decided to scrunch the bottom of the pants to make them look shorter.
I thought the red Loubs is a nice touch of the whole black outfit.

Marlota Dress from Yoox.com

dress: Marlota
belt: Zara
shoes: Marni

dress: Marlota
belt: Zara
shoes: YSL tributes (lower heel)

I bought this Marlota dress (the last one) at yoox.com, it was less than $90 and I thought it's such a good deal. It's dark navy blue almost black. The dress is lined and the detail is very simple and elegant. There was no belt come with the dress and the dress looks so much smarter with a belt.
I was trying out different shoes with the dress, I do think the higher the better.
