Isabel Marant Mony Boots

dress: Brian Dales (Yoox.com)
shoes: Isabel Marant Mony
jacket: Rebecca Taylor
scarf: Chan Luu

I bought this pair of IM Mony boots from The New Guard online store for 30% off (black Friday sale), last pair and in my size. Luckily I didn't have to pay any duty or tax. The heel height boots is about 3-1/2" so they are quite comfortable. And thought they run true to size but they kind of run a little large for me, I had to buy thick insole so my feel would fly out of the boots and because of wearing socks, there's no friction to secure my feet in the shoes. That's the down side of narrow feet. I thought Manly boots were very hot but they make too much of an impression so I went with the Mony.

pink + black

dress: Anna Sui (ebay many years ago)
tights: H&M
shoes: Isabel Marant dicker boots
jacket: Rick Owens
vest: Helmut Lang
scarf: Allsaints

I had no idea today was quite warm, the weather just gets very strange in these recent years. I picked this pinkish dress to pair with leather jacket...so it's a contrast between something dark + edgy with something soft and feminine.
I want to mention the cotton tights from H&M was very good quality...they don't sag at the knees and pretty warm as well. They were $14 and I thought they were pretty good buy.

Isabal Marant anthracite dicker boots

sweater: Vince
pants: Rag & Bone Galaxy
jacket: Suzuya
shoes: IM dicker boots in anthracite

After seeing the photos I realized I should not have folded the pants up and should have just tucked them in instead. Oh, well....now I know what not to do next time.
The dicker boots are very comfortable and though they just got in (this shipment at least) and I was told they are getting sold out...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Leather + Silk

top: American Apparel
skirt: Isabel Marant Lurex skirt (ebay seller: shoegirl71)
jacket: Rick Owens
belt: Zara
scarf: Chan Luu
necklace: ebay (seller: pointmemountain)

First of all, I wanted to say my tights weren't that sheer in real life but I think the photos were bit too exposed and they seemed very sheer especially under the sun...
I also altered the length of the skirt myself ^_^ and though it's a lot of work but totally worth it. I do like the length this way better and I'd better because it's not reversible. The only thing is it's hard to pull the skirt lower (it rides up) because the fabric seems very delicate and it kind of getting shorter and shorter as the day unfolds...I do like the belt matched with this skirt...I can really see the potential to wear this combo when the weather gets warmer. I also think a pair of dickers would be even better for a casual brunch or afternoon shopping....
For the ladies in NYC...the dickers just came in to the soho IM boutique...so hurry. They have it in black, dark charcoal.

Theory shearling coat

top: Rag & Bone
jeans: Isabel Marant Renells
shoes: Dolce Vita
coat: Theory
scarf: YSL

Mentally I felt like it's still fall but today was so cold so I took out my Theory shearling coat to keep me warm and toasty. I got it at Neiman Marcus Jersey for 40% off and no tax. I really considered that's one of my shopping victory. The original price of the coat was about $1600 and I got it for less than 1K and no tax. It really worth all the effort to travel to Jersey with that kind of saving!!
This pair of DV booties were an inspired pair of IM dickers, I am not so sure if I like the color, I would like a pair of black...I just don't like the light color shoes....

leather + fur

sweater: Zara
shorts: Muubaa
vest: Club Monaco faux fur vest
scarf: Allsaints
shoes: Chloe

The weather was quite bad today and it reminded me so much of Seattle especially during the day. It's quite gloomy and drizzling all day long and when I stopped by the park, it was so beautiful and romantic at the same time. Seattle was just as beautiful...I honestly do not like NYC when it rains....it just seem so dirty but not today at the park.

and the pouch I was holding in my hand was not a purse, I used it to carry the camera...^_^. It was a gift from one of the camera men.

I am already looking forward to next weeks long weekend.....

Isabel Marant Doogi Dress

dress: Isabel Marant Etoile Doogi Dress
shoes: Sergio Rossi
jacket: Armani (ebay: fashionandu)
vest: Michael Kors

Even though it's a little overcast today but it's quite warm, I am glad to enjoy the not so cold NY weather while it still lasts.
I got this dress with the Mendy sweater from Matches Fashions. They were a lot cheaper than the US but I got hit with the DHL duty fee. For some reason, some buyers from other states didn't get the pay the high duty fee and when I called DHL for a dispute, I was told to pay $100 for a protest fee which wasn't required in other states. So if you are from NY, keep in mind you need to pay a high fee...though the % was quite high but still cheaper than buying from the US unless your states have low sales tax or you can buy from NAP with non NY address.

ISABEL MARANT Silk Lurex Skirt

top: French Connection (many years ago)
skirt: Isabel Marant Lurex (ebay: shoegirl71)
jacket: Zara
shoes: Chanel
scarf: Dries Van Noten

The temperature suddenly dropped and you can see I looked cold...I was under dressed. Though I was cold but still I adore this IM Lurex skirt which I got on ebay for 1/3 of the retail and it's brand new. It's the longer version and I haven't had time to shorten it. Actually I tugged the skirt so it looked the right length. I tried the way it came from still prefer the shorter skirt look much better. The material is so delicate and flowy...absolutely gorgeous.

black + wine

top: Isabel Marant Mendy
jeans: Isabel Marant Renells
jacket: Isabel Marant Etoile Lexy
vest: Helmut Lang
shoes: Christian Louboutin
scarf: Allsaints

I have never worn the whole outfits of the same label and today was my first time doing so. I tried to match with other things but thought this combo was the best or the way I wanted this morning.  I hope I am not giving out the tacky vibes.
I am so happy this week warmed up a lot...it was just too cold last week and I was kind of sad because I felt I missed the fall completely and thank God....the weather warmed up a lot. It was sooo sunny and I forgot my sun glasses...so my already small eyes were even smaller...hahaha...

Thanks for reading!!

Isabel Marant - Mendy in ecru

top: Isabel Marant Mendy
skirt: IRO
bordeaux jacket: Isabel Marant Etoile Lexy
black jacket: Suzuya (got in HK)
scarf: Chan Luu
shoes: Chanel

I got this Mendy ecru sweater from Matches Fashion and it's about $100 cheaper than the US price and I also got a dress so that evened out the shipping cost ($45).  I really adore this sweater, it's very thin, and the material is just so fabulous that created the texture. If this ever go on sale in navy or another wearable color, I might get one but I seriously think ecru works best for my skin tone. I somehow think black or navy might look not as nice as this ecru. The length of this sweater is perfect, I've always thought most tops are little too short and IM's tops are mostly at a decent length, I honestly believe she thought about this little detail when she design her collections.
I've always thought IRO has some kind of resemblance to IM, may be it's something about French and I thought they go so well together.

oversized sweater + flared leather skirt

black tee: Splendid
short sleeves sweater: Vince
skirt: Illia exclusive w. Barneys Coop
jacket: Suzuya (from HK)
shoes: Isabel Marant, Dana
scarf: Chan Luu

I always want to pair this flared leather skirt with some over-sized sweater to kind of make it look less flared. I really like the result that the sweater balanced out the proportion to make the skirt look less flared but still flare enough.
