After I got the ankle length jeans from Uniqlo, I just developed this new fascination of ankle length skinny jeans. They are just so flattering on and they also allow me to show off my shoes, especially when I am wearing ankle boots or shoes with ankle straps. I have narrow heels so when I wear pumps, they tend to slip off my feet so I usually just wear shoes with ankle straps to avoid this annoyance.

I got my Marant dicker boots from LVR for a very good price so I highly recommend you to stalk the site at a regular basis to get good deals. The price on their website is the final cost, shipping and duty are all included. The dicker boots were sold out in less than 24 hours I believe...but you can still get them at lagarconne.com, they do carry a lot of items that were sold out on NAP...it's a very good backup online store for me. And I thought Rag & Bone's newbury boots are a great alternative to the dicker boots. The heels are a little higher than the dicker boots but they look very comfy to me. And their color ways are quite interesting. This rich dark brown color is so yummy. The Madewell boots are a good alternative at a more reasonable price...

I've read Tabitha Simmons is a up and coming designer....I just love this pair of ankle boots design..it's just very elegant and edgy.

Today at my lunch break, I finally stopped by Madewell next door to see what they had....I was amazed at their fun and easy style, the sweaters were my favorite items to browse. I touched the clothes and the quality seem very nice and the price point was quite friendly.

Summer is the perfect weather for accessories.....so these are the ones I thought are really cool. I got the sunglasses from Amazon (authentic and about $100 less than retail)...but I thought probably dept. stores would be easier to try on and return if you don't like them as much.

1. Prada Baroque sunglass

    I love this pair of sunglasses, they are such a statement piece and look quite flattering on. The 

    only thing is I had to really adjust the ear to have them sit tight on my nose...since my bridge is not

    that high.

2. Dannijo Hilde necklace

    I just can't get enough of Dannijo's statement jewelry. The design is very contemporary and
    chic....and timeless. They are such investment piece.

3. CC Skye leather cuff

    I am a big fan of CC Skye, the design just very chic and goes with everything. The leather pieces 

    are quite rocker chic...and the all metal ones are just quite elegant.

4. Alexander Wang pumps

    One day, I was waiting for the light to cross the street, I saw this guy wearing a pair of yellow 

    sneakers and it just donned on me that neon shoes are so great for the warmer days.  These Wang 

    pumps are so cool, the color is perfect. They have it in black but leather, it would be great if 

    they were also in suede.

Sounds like a lot of online retail stores have the F/W items rolling out now. Marant items are always sold out fast so if you like something, better grab them now and think if you need them, at least you'll have the option to return later. 

I do love the Marant lexy jacket I got last fall, the fit was very flattering so I've been developed this obsession about jacket especially French jackets. Marant's price point is a little high but the ones I posted are quite reasonable, they are both listed as $395, I believe they are somewhere around $420 in the US retail.  The only thing I was disappointed was the leather trim was not seen on momo jacket but the gray one does, but I can't tell it's suede or fabric. 

The IRO jacket is also one my favourite jackets labels. The boucle jacket looks very stylish with a little twist (white threads weaving thru the black fabric). I can really see this goes with almost everything in everyone's wardrobe. About the IRO pheobe jacket, I want to say buying two sizes and return the one not fitted as well. I actually sized down and I felt it look quite nice, all the modeling photos I've seen online are a little too big on the model but the shoulders are quite tight.

The black linen tee was $200 but other colors are priced $100. I don't know why. A black nice blended tee that doesn't pile is a very good basic in the closet. If you wear it twice a week, nobody would notice. The IRO sweater is a nice version of color blocking, I like it because it breaks the average color blocking design.

The signature Marant cord jeans are fabulous. The pattern jeans are fun to play with and the solid color jeans are good basics in the closet, the fit is great. One thing I do want to say is I believe pattern jeans look much better on leggy women, patterned jeans are pretty loud and they really attract a lot of attention...and they really separate the upper and lower portion of your body. I found this article about women's body and how to dress, it describes fashion as easy as ABC (Accentuate, Balance, Conceal) and thought it's very helpful.

Shoes, I love those calfskin boots, they are exactly the same model as mony and Marant just changed the materials, these look so HOT. If you missed the mony then these would be a great alternate. And dicker boots are just so easy to style and so comfy to walk a mile in them.

When I first saw this sweater it just reminded me of the popular Marant ritchie sweater. I took a closer look, even the weave is also very similar. The only difference is the fit...I think this one is more of a closer fit then the ritchie sweater. Just received the dicker boots from LVR...I thought I was going to get the khaki but instead I got the gris. The color was a lot darker than I expected --- it's brown with a green undertone and I originally wanted brown dickers with a warm undertone so I could wear them in summer with shorts. Though they are darker but I still can make them work in my wardrobe and with this sweet price (USD 445) shipping included so I am not going to return and all...I think I will be pleasantly surprised when I style this pair of baby.

I hope you had a wonderful July 4th.....I really enjoyed the fireworks...
The weather in NYC is getting unbearably hot for me and it's quite challenging to dress for work sometimes....the air conditioning is way too cold for skirts and shorts but pants are quite hot when waiting for the subway especially when the signal system goes off.....
I felt white skinny jeans are very easy to pair and looks very refreshing...the Uniqlo pair was very perfect for me...but they were only available in store and I am not sure they have stores in places other than NYC...ankle length jeans are so easy to pair and show off the shoes (ankle strap details) perfectly. I highly recommend you to get a pair....

The weather was still not too hot the day I wore my new IM drawstring skirt which I got from the Barney's sale, I got it on the second cut for $119. The skirt was really cute when I first saw it but since winter was on it's way out so I assumed I could wait and I was right. I like the fact that the skirt has pockets on both sides and it's not that short comparing to her other skirts.
I was intrigued by Ray Ban aviators on a visit to an optical store...I tried the 58mm sunglasses but I thought it would look nicer if they were bigger so I did some research and decided to get the 62mm. They are bigger and much heavier and they just slide off my nose the moment I put them on so I brought them to an optical store to ask the nice lady to adjust for me. They are so timeless and cool...sorry I just couldn't find a better word to describe them. Especially for women to wear aviators...it's just something very special about that...considered they were first worn by those handsome pilots.......
